NEW DELHI: Australia said on Wednesday that it supports the proposal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the African Union to join the G20.
An official statement said Australia has strongly supported India’s G20 presidency and its key priorities, and has engaged constructively throughout G20 negotiations. The statement was in response to a report in The Times of India which had mentioned that some countries including Australia had opposed the proposal.
