Modi meets Foxconn Chairman, welcomes Foxconn’s chip manufacturing plans for India, ET Government

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn, today at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The Prime Minister’s Office tweeted:

“Mr. Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn, met PM @narendramodi in Gandhinagar. The PM welcomed Foxconn’s plans to expand semiconductor and chip manufacturing capacity in India.”

Foxconn is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, with total revenue exceeding NT$ (New Taiwan dollar) 6 trillion (US$175 billion) in 2022. As of last year, it ranks 20th in the Fortune Global 500. Foxconn has 173 campuses and offices in 24 countries or regions around the world
