Addressing a large gathering outside the HAL airport, PM Narendra Modi raised the slogan “Jai Vigyan Jai Anusandhan”.
“I could not stop myself as I was not in the country, but I decided to visit Bengaluru first and meet our scientists right after visiting India,” Modi said outside HAL airport in Bengaluru.
During his visit to ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Modi interacted with the ISRO scientists who played a pivotal role in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. He was briefed about the findings and progress in the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
While delivering a speech to the ISRO scientists, he became sentimental. He congratulated scientists of the ISRO team for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 and gave them the credit for awakening an entire generation and leaving a deep imprint on young minds.
“To mark Chandrayaan-3 success, India will celebrate August 23 as National Space Day,” the PM said. He declared that the point where Chandrayaan-3 landed on the Moon will be called ‘Shivshakti’. “You took Make in India to the moon,” he said to the ISRO scientists in Bengaluru.
